Mortal
Ambivalence
This painting is about mortality, the paths we travel through in life, and the decisions that shape our future.
We are surrounded by fresh water on all sides - it’s the life force that defines the shape of the city of Detroit. This place is a literal safe haven, with access to some of the largest bodies of fresh water in the world, and it connects us in a big way to life in an unknown future.
